Write a 5-7-page essay that traces the occurrence of one or two of the following concepts, topics, or terms in at least two of the works by Derrida that we have read. Explain what motivates Derrida’s interest in the term or what his use of it is designed to accomplish . (According to Derrida’s own remarks on “strategy” in “Différance,” these interests and purposes may well differ between works. You may therefore want to address their differences and similarities.) If you choose to focus on two concepts/topics/terms, be sure to show how they are related. In your paper, it might also be a good idea to take into account how Derrida’s use or treatment of a term or concept or problem serves as a response to the author or text he is discussing.
