I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Economics at McMaster University. My primary research areas are in Labour Economics, Applied Econometrics and Economics of Immigration. My dissertation conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the effectiveness of Canadian immigration policy. In the first paper, I investigates the impact of immigrant inflows on native-born Canadians' wage growth. My second paper studies the effect of immigrants' residence in ethnic enclaves on their labour force activities, and the third paper analyzes the assimilation process of immigrants in terms of earnings. My other research affiliation include Canadian Labour Market and Skills Researcher Network (CLSRN) and Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Germany. I am also a sessional lecturer at McMaster University and King's University College at the University of Western Ontario.
